Increasing elderly population

Canada's elderly population is growing rapidly, with seniors aged 65 and older expected to number 10.4 million by 2037 and reach nearly one-quarter of the total population by 2040, driven by the aging baby boomer generation, longer lifespans, and low birth rates. The 85+ demographic is expanding even faster, with a projected tripling of this group to over 4 million by 2073.
